Pralguske, Leokadia #2 (20 APR 1884 - 27 AUG 1959)

 

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. H. Crubel at Holy Rosary Church at Owen Monday morning, Aug. 31st for Mrs. Leokadia Pralguske, 75, who passed away at the Stanley hospital Thursday, Aug. 27, 1959.

 

She suffered a stroke on July 30, 1959, having been living with her daughter, Mrs. Lewis Gehrke at Withee (Clark Co., Wis.).

 

The deceased was born in Lithuania on April 20, 1884.  She came to America as a young girl and was united in marriage to John Pralguske in Kewanee, Ill, on May 8, 1904.  They moved to Withee, Wis., in 1914 and resided on a farm near there until 1946.  Mr. Pralguske passed away in 1945.

 

Surviving here are three sons, John of Chicago, Julius of Waterloo, Ia., and Charles of West Fargo, N.D., two daughters, Mrs. Lewis (Anne) Gehrke of Withee, Wis., and Mrs. Gedmon (Genevieve) Mikolainis of Thorp, 15 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

 

She was laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery near the Black River.  Pallbearers were Art Smasal, Frank Cieslik, Richard Rabska, Steve Pawlak, Ed Mertens and Ray Munson.
