William, Delores (5 SEP 1959)

 

Miss Delores William, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve William, Thorp (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Frank Oemig, son of Mrs. Rachel Oemig and the late Paul Oemig, Stanley, on Saturday, Sept. 5, 1959, at Epiphany Lutheran Church, Stanley.  Rev. Robert Olson officiated at the 2:00 p.m. double ring ceremony.

 

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white lace over satin chapel length town styled with fitted bodice and boat neckline.  Her skirt was tiers of ruffled lace.  A crown of rhinestones held her fingertip veil.  She carried a white orchid centered in white roses and stephanotis on a white Bible.

 

Mrs. Melvin Hakes, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, and bridesmaids were Mrs. Paul Oemig, sister-in-law of the groom, and Miss Joan Zsebe, cousin of the bride.  The maid of hoor wore a waltz length gown of white nylon organza with red print flowers styled with a square neckline trimmed with flowers and rhinestones.  The first bridesmaid wore a lace olive green waltz length gown styled with scoop neckline and the second bridesmaid wore a bright rose nylon organza waltz length town.  Each wore headbands of white carnations and pearl earrings and bracelets.

 

Miss Diane William, nices of the bride, was flower girl, wearing a white nylon organza waltz length dress with red print flowers and a headband like the bridesmaids.

 

Attending the groom were: Paul Oemig, brother of the groom, Melvin Hakes, brother-in-law of the bride, and Steve William Jr., brother of the bride.  Ushers were Donald William, brother of the bride, and Karl Oemig, brother of the groom.

 

Miss Carol Kesserich played the organ while Michael T. Carmody sang "O Perfect Love" and "The Wedding Prayer."

 

A dinner at 4:30 for 100 guests was held at the Epiphany Lutheran Church Parlor.

 

The groom is employed at Wis. Alumni Research Foundation, Madison, as laboratory technician.  He attended Stanley High School and is a 1959 graduate of the University of Wisconsin.  The bride attended Stanley High School and is currently attending the University of Wisconsin.

 

After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, they will live at 315 N. Brooks, Madison, Wis.
