Star Corner (30 June 1911)

 

The dance at John Goebel’s Saturday evening was quite well attended.

 

Mr. Abe DeMonk of Plymouth came Saturday to spend a couple of days with the Preston and Mayhew families.

 

Mrs. Anna Lustig had a mowing bee Wednesday.

 

Robert Gotter and Mr. Lautenbach of Granton spent Tuesday evening at Philip Breseman’s.

 

Miss Julia Bentz left Saturday for Milwaukee.

 

Bert Mayhew and Abe DeMonk left here Monday for Neillsville where they will visit at the home of John Wolf, a relative of Mr. DeMonk.  From there they departed for their homes at Plymouth Tuesday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Preston and daughter Evelyn spent last Wednesday evening with Arthur Lammers at Foemmel’s Corners.

 

Chas Bass purchased a horse and colt near Granton Saturday.

 

Miss Lydia Breseman spent Sunday at her home here.

 

Mr. Art Lammers and brother-in-law Fred Ninniman called on F. Preston Sunday evening.

 

Several from here attended the picnic at the Granton Lutheran Church Sunday.

 

Mrs. Lustig visited with her daughter Mrs. Arthur Pitts of Tioga a few days this week.

 

Blum Bros. of Marshfield delivered a load of cheese boxes at Frank Preston’s Tuesday.

 

Emil Krause and A. Porath delivered cheese to Granton Monday.

 

Elsie Grassman and her sisters Emma and Alma spent Monday at Chas. Bass’s.

 

Paul Goebel sawed wood for Theo Breseman Monday and Tuesday.

 

Mrs. Geo Dugan spent Friday with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Aug Teatz.

 

Chas Krause called on Ernest Nitschke Tuesday evening.

 

G. E. Amidon passed through this vicinity Sunday with his auto.
