La Flex, Patricia A. (14 JUL 1959)

 

Miss Patricia A. La Flex became the bride of Wayne Vernon Madison at Zion Lutheran Church, Gilman on Tuesday, July 14, 1959 at 2 p.m. Rev. M. Gaffert officiating.

 

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank La Flex, Gilman, and the groom if the son of Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Madison, Gilman.

 

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of Chantilly lace.  The bodice was styled with long tapered sleeves and sequins and pearls outlined the semi-scooped neckline.  Diagonal panels of scalloped edged lace pointed up the beauty of the bouffant skirt which floated over an underskirt of ruffled net.  Her veil was held in place by a tiara of sequins and pearls and she carried a heart shaped bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

 

A friend of the bride, Mrs. John Dodge was maid of honor wearing a pink street length gown of lace over taffeta and she carried a heart shaped bouquet of pink carnations.  Bridesmaid was Miss Barbara Cukla, friends of the bride, wearing a gown styled exactly like the maid of honors in yellow and she carried a heart shaped bouquet of yellow carnations.  The Junior bridesmaid, Miss Joanne Wall, niece of the bride,  wore a white floor length gown and she carried a heart shaped bouquet of red roses and white carnations.

 

John Dodge, friend of the groom was best man and usher was Leonard Heiting, also a friend of the groom.  Junior groomsman was Charles Wald, nephew of the bride.

 

A reception for 200 was held at Koolmo’s Nite Club with a dance also held there.

 

Miscellaneous showers were given the bride by Mrs. Rolland Johnson, Mrs. Ben Konsella, Mrs. Dale Fredrickson, Mrs. Joe Dublak and a Lingerie shower by Diane Mattes and Carla Goebel.

 

The bride and groom are both graduates of Gilman High School.  After a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin and Minnesota, the couple will make their home at Rt. No. 2, Gilman.

 

Out of town guests attending the wedding were from Chippewa Falls, Thorp, Minneapolis, Theinsville and Weyauwega.
