York Center (22 June 1911)

 

The Modern Woodmen gave Abe VandeBerg a bee Wednesday to plow and drag.

 

Bert Lawrence and family of Stanley, Wis., came Tuesday to visit with friends and relatives in this vicinity.

 

W. J. Rush was seen on our streets last Thursday.  He had rather bad luck as he ran onto a nail which was lying in the road and punctured one of the tires of his auto and had to lie still until help came.

 

Mrs. C. L. Smith was taken with a stroke of paralysis last Tuesday and at present writing is a little better.

 

Wm. Benedict was on our streets last week assessing.

 

Willie Lawrence came home Monday for a visit with relatives and friends.

 

Little Clifford Parrett is on the sick list.  Dr. Ross is in attendance.

 

All are invited to join in and help celebrate the Fourth of July. There will be a picnic in D. Curtis’s woods. Come and enjoy the fun!

 

Wella Beecher’s have company from Stevens Point.
