Grusecki, Bernice (3 SEP 1882 - 7 JUN 1959)

 

Mrs. Stanley Grusecki, 76, passed away at the Stanley Memorial Hospital at 12:20 p.m. on Sunday, June 7th, 1959 of pneumonia and complications.

 

She was a resident of the Gilman community, having settled on a farm near here in 1914, and was a resident there until death.

 

Bernice Nicoski was born in Poland on Sept. 3, 1882, and came to America in 1914.  She was united in marriage to Stanley Grusecki in Poland in October 1903.

 

Besides her husband she is survived by two sons, Paul and Edward Grusecki of Chicago; five daughters, (Mary) Mrs. Theo Walther of Chicago, (Helen) Mrs. Stanley Dubicki, (Julia) Mrs. William Tobola and (Marth) Mrs. Chris Price, all of Thorp, and (Letty) Mrs. Norman Wilcenski of Gilman; one brother, Jacob Nicoski of Buffalo, N.Y.; one sister, Victoria Chichota of Buffalo, N.Y.; and twenty-one grandchildren.

 

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. John Dzurko at St. Peter and Paul Church at Gilman at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10th with interment following in Meadowbrook Cemetery.  Pallbearers were Victor Nicoski, John Staszuk, John Jarmoluk, Felix Kondrasuk, Joseph Wiszniewski, and Frank Wilcenski.

 

Out of town relatives and friends here to pay their respects were: Mr. and Mrs. Jos. Czech, Mrs. Paul Cukla, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Szatalowicz, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Lewien, Mrs. Mayme Milligan, Mrs. Hermis Schmidt, Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Herman, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Tobola, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hedler, Mrs. Pauline Zajackzkowski, Mrs. Ray Slipek and family, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Macewicz, Mrs. Ami Bartl and son peter, all of Thorp, Mrs. Leo Tobola of Chippewa Falls and Mrs. Herb Beck of Ladysmith.
