The social center meeting to be held last week Friday was postponed to Tuesday of this week.

The meetings which we have been enjoying at the schoolhouse are some of the evening that we are looking forward to - with expectations and the ceretain knowledge that we will enjoy the evening to the utmost.  So far the meetings have been full of interesting games and instructive programs and the most convincing fact that proves that the meetings are a success is that the school house is crowded and we will soon be compelled to hold the meetings outside as soon as the weather permits.  The movement is spreading all over the state to make use of the public school for the use of the patrons and public after school hours.  The building is heated, there is no rent to pay and everybody is welcome.  These are the features that make such gatherings popular.  At our meetings we usually select a captain or chairman for the succeeding meeting and have him appoint a committee to assist in arranging the program for the next time.  The date of the next meeting is also fixed - so those present know when to look forward for the next meeting.  All living in Chili and vicinity are welcome, let it be understood clearly.

John Hefty, the butcher, got himself a new engine to work his sausage machine.

Corn and molasses feed at Degener’s.

Quite a number from here attended the lecture course at Granton.

Another car of hay was shipped out of here Wednesday by L. Rustad and W. Cattanach.

Loyal Jordan is expected back Wednesday of this week.

Don’t forget the band concert and dance at the Chili Opera Hall tomorrow, Saturday.
