Halle, Joan Marie (Marriage - 1 June 1963)

Joan Marie Halle, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Halle of Rt. 3, Neillsville, became the bride of Lee C. Kurasz, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Kurasz, also of Rt. 3, Saturday in a double ring ceremony performed by the Rev. Norman Lindloff in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Neillsville.

Three hundred guests witnessed the ceremony as Mr. Halle gave his daughter in marriage.

Her wedding ensemble was a white floor length gown of nylon and taffeta, trimmed with wide rows of lace panels and sequins. The fitted bodice was styled with elbow-length sleeves.  A Cleopatra veil was attached to her headpiece.  She carried a cascade bouquet of red roses.

Mary Ann Halle attended her sister as maid of honor.  Her bridesmaid was Mrs. Jim Kurasz.  They wore dresses of sky blue nylon and taffeta with lace. Their bouquets were pink roses and carnations in colonial style arrangement.

Jim Kurasz was bestman; ushers were Dale and Eddie Kurasz.  Brothers of the bride and groom, Master Glenn Halle and Master Billy Kurasz, Jr., rolled the carpet of the bridal party.

"O Perfect Love" and "The Lord’s Prayer" were sung by Robert Mitte.

A reception and wedding dinner was served to 300 guests in the dining hall of St. John’s School.

On their return from a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. Kurasz will reside near Neillsville, where the groom is employed.  Both are graduates of Neillsville High School.
