Steffen, William R. (16 June 1894 - 17 May 1963)

 

Funeral services were conducted Sunday from the Grace Lutheran Church in Nasonville for William R. Steffen, 68, of Rt. 1, Chili, who died Friday in an infirmary in Port Edwards. The Rev. P. K. Mueller officiated. Burial was made in the parish cemetery.

 

Mr. Steffen was born June 16, 1894, in Cedarburg, and for the last five years had been a patient in the Wood County Infirmary and prior to that he had made his home with his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bredemann, on Rt. 1 Chili.

 

He was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church and had never married.

 

He is survived by eight step-brothers: Camilleo of Pembine; Arno of Arpin; Albert, Oscar and Ernest, all of Marshfield; Arthur of Chicago; Max of Waterford and Robert of Chili; and a step-sister, Mrs. Adela Graf of Marshfield.

 

The Gilbertson Funeral Home in Granton made funeral arrangements.
