Foemmel’s Corners (31 March 1911)

 

Mr. Will Glover of Marshfield spent Sunday at Truman Davis’.

 

Mr. Henry Nonhof left Sunday night for a visit with relatives in Sheboygan.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Pietenpol entertained the Davis’ Sunday.

 

Mr. Geo. Glover leaves Saturday for Marshfield, having finished his job here.  He has a position at Staadt where he worked last season.

 

Ora Davis had a vacation this week to attend the teacher’s institute at Loyal.

 

Eldred and Lucile Davis spent Tuesday night with their grandparents.

 

A meeting was held at the cheese factory Tuesday evening and it was decided to close the factory.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Heck are making preparations to move onto Martin Lastofka’s farm the last of this week.

 

August Foemmel made his usual trip to Chili Sunday.  He says money is scarce, but he is sure of his Schilling.

 

Mr. Glover has subscribed for the Granton News so he can see what we are doing after he is gone.

 

A very pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Krejci Wednesday evening when their second daughter, Mary, was united in the holy bonds of matrimony by the Rev. Burrows to Mr. George Hales.
