East York & West Fremont (6 January 1911)

Mrs. Free Converse has nearly recovered from her recent attack of tonsillitis.

Roy Wright and best girl took New Years dinner with Mr. and Mrs. Jim Baker.

Mrs. Amelia Converse, son Hugh, and daughter, Mrs. Myrtle Chapel, Sundayed at the home of the former’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Geo Williams.

School re-opened Tuesday, January 3 in District No. 5 after a vacation of six weeks.

Mrs. Wm Atkin of Withee visited her sister Mr. E. W. Lee a few days last week.

Mr. Effort Brandt and bride spent New Years at Ernest Yankee’s.  Mrs. Brandt is a sister of Mrs. Yankee.

Vinton Lee and wife drove out from Pleasant Ridge Saturday and stayed until Sunday afternoon under the parental roof.

All the telephone patrons were highly pleased to receive the weather report.  This certainly goes to show that one new leaf has been turned over for the New Year as the weather report has not been given in this vicinity for nearly two years.

The children and grandchildren of Mr. and Mrs. T. F. Lee gathered at the parental home and partook of the New Year’s turkey.

Miss Elsie Johnson made an over Sunday visit with Miss Ruth Lee.
