Miss Louise Adams of Hixton came up Friday for an over Sunday visit with her friend Miss Ida Schofield.

 

Mrs. O.P. Wells, who though very ill, is decidedly better than for some weeks past.

 

Oscar Fricke and F. Draper had a very enjoyable visit with Norman Emerson of Minneapolis last Saturday.  He was formerly a resident of Loyal.

 

Thorton Gates and Lucy Carlson were married by Justice A.E. Dudley on Sunday eve, Jan. 21, 1906.

 

Forest Brown spent Sunday at home.

 

F.M. Jackson, the District Attorney, is here as one of the attorneys in the preliminary hearing of Mrs. Rudolph Knoop on the serious charge of poisoning her husband.

 

Dan Stannard is home for a few days visit with his parents.

 

Mask Ball s Feb. 2nd.  Everyone is cordially invites, who has the price of $1 for a ticket.  Two prizes are to be given away, $5 for best ladies costume and $5 for best gents costume.

 

Mrs. F.J. Baer was a Neillsville caller Saturday.

 

Frank Stannard spent Sunday at home.

 

Mrs. A. Barton underwent a serious surgical operation at the Eau Claire hospital Wednesday.

 

A 16-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Owen, rural residents here, had been on an extended visit at Waupaca and took the train there some time ago to return home, remarking to a friend as she did so, that her ticket only took her to Marshfield, but that she would meet friends there and get home all right, since which time all trace of her has been lost and her parents and friends here are decidedly alarmed over her were-a-bouts.

 

Wm. Todte is very ill at the hospital, through poisoning.
