COUPLE FORMERLY OF TOWN HERMAN DIES MONTH APART

 

                The deaths of a former Sheboygan County couple who died a month apart at Greenwood, Clark County, Wis., were reported today by Sheboygan area relatives.  Simon Boedeker, who was born April 5, 1857, in the town of Herman, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Boedeker, Sr., died at Greenwood, Feb. 2.  His wife, the former Meta Gosse, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herman Gosse, pioneer Herman township residents, died March 1. She was born on the family homestead in town Herman Jan. 20, 1872.

 

                The couple was married Dec. 12, 1891, in the town of Herman, and moved to Greenwood in 1901.  Both died after lingering illnesses.  One son, Orlando, preceded them in death.  Mrs. Boedeker is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Louise Franz, Haven, Mrs. Clara Franzmeier, Route 1, Cleveland, and Mrs. Charles Richter, Route 1, Elkhart Lake, and a brother, Ferdinand of Sheboygan Falls. 

 

                Funeral services for Mrs. Boedeker were held Wednesday afternoon with brief rites at the Schiller Funeral home followed by services at the Greenwood Reformed church.  The Rev. J. C. Klingeberger, pastor, officiated. Burial was made in the Greenwood cemetery, next to the grave of her late husband. 

 

                Attending the services from the Sheboygan area were Mr. and Mrs. Franzmeier, Miss Clara Franzmeier and Mrs. Alvin Reyer, all of route 1, Cleveland; Mrs. Louis Franz, Mrs. Arthur Franz and Mr. and Mrs. Ewald Franzmeier and family, Haven; Mrs. Ruth Boedeker and Mrs. Paul Meibuhr, Sheboygan; Mrs. Mary Stuckman, route 3, Plymouth; Mrs. Arno Meinert, Sheboygan Falls, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Richter and Mrs. Reinhold Klemme, Elkhart Lake; Paul and Arthur Boedeker of Franklin.
