Mayer, Marie (Nov. 1956)

Now honeymooning in California are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Kaiser, who were married during a 9:30 o’clock ceremony Wednesday morning in St. Joseph’s Catholic Church near Fairchild. Officiant at the rites for the former Marie Mayer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tony Mayer, Humbird, and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kaiser, Loyal, was the Rev. Andrew H. Bofenkamp.

Prior to her marriage, the new Mrs. Kaiser, a graduate of the Alma Center High School, was employed in the office of the Northern Auto Co. Her husband, who is an alumnus of Cadott High School, operates a farm near Loyal, where the newlyweds will reside.

A gown made along princess lines & a bouquet of white mums and red roses were selected by the bride. The full satin skirt was topped by a lace bodice detailed with a net yoke. Her veil was secured to a crown headpiece.

Tiers of ruffles fashioned the full skirt of the mint green frocks donned by Mrs. Leon Perone of Eau Claire. She is a sister of the groom. Similarly styled was the red formal worn by the bridesmaid, Miss Donna Hytry, Marshfield. Both carried bouquets of red carnations and white pompoms encircled in red net.

Attendants of the groom included Norman Mayer, Humbird, as best man and Harold Kaiser, Madison, groomsman, with Harlan Bemis, Humbird and Jack Kaiser, served as ushers. Completing the wedding party was Mary Lou Perone, Eau Claire, a niece of the groom as flower girl and Ricky Dimanett of Humbird, a cousin of the bride as ring bearer. The lace trimmed frock worn by the former was designed along the same lines as her new aunt’s.

Before leaving on their honeymoon the newlyweds greeted guests at a reception that afternoon at the home of the bride, which was also the scene of the dinner.
