Snyder, Elsie (12 Jun 1914)

Last Wednesday evening Miss Elsie Snyder and Nick Scherer were united in marriage by Rev. Risser.  The ceremony was held at the home of the bride’s parents and was witnessed only by the relatives and very close friends of the couple.  The bride wore a gown of white voile and lace and the couple was attended by Miss Jessie Dwyer and Ernest Snyder.  The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A.F. Snyder and one of Neillsville’s most popular and pleasant young ladies.  She is a graduate of the city schools, has taught in the country schools and is a young lady whose personality and capability have made her a host of very sincere friends.  Mr. Scherer is a member of the firm of Sherer Bros., owners of the Model laundry.  He is industrious and energetic and is one of the young business men of the city who is always in favor of anything which speaks for the improvement of the city.  Mr. and Mrs. Scherer have gone to housekeeping in the Lon Huckstead house n West 5th St.  The Times voices the general congratulations of the large circle of friends of the young couple.
