School: Granton School Notes (22 Sep 1905)

School opened Monday morning with the same faculty in place as last year.

 

There were no recitations Monday, the forenoon being spent in assigning lessons and arranging programs.  The pupils in the upper room were dismissed at noon for the remainder of the day.

 

There are some new library books at E.A. Beeckler’s.

 

The new pupils in the upper room are Hugh and Netta Berg, Ruth Lee, Marion Smith and Ethel Graves.

 

Lynn Knorr and Ben Beeckler are the only pupils in the 11th grade this year.  They do not attended now, as their books have not yet arrived.

 

Calvin Davis intends on coming to school in about a month.

 

Mrs. Scott Davis called at the schoolhouse Monday morning.

 

The 10th grade will have reading two days of each week and English grammar the balance of the week..

 

Miss Tyler boards at Scott Davis’ and Miss Gates intends boarding at John Fuller’s.
