D.L. Pickering of Sherwood transacted business here last week.

 

Miss Martha Sternitzky visited her brother’s family near Harris Spur late last week.

 

Miss Etta Altenburg is busy sewing for Mr. Grassman this week.

 

Mrs. Kihn from Loyal visited with Mrs. Gutter last week Wednesday.  Just as she arrived at the gate her vehicle broke down and she was obliged to send for Mr. Wage of Granton to come to her assistance and help her back to Loyal.

 

Mr. Zipfel and son Louis and family of the Ridge visited with Mrs. E.F. Brooks Sunday.

 

Mrs. Servaty and daughter Julia of Neillsville visited with Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Martin last week.

 

Mrs. Fred Bower of Marshfield was the guest of Mrs. E.F. Brooks Saturday and Sunday.

 

T.A. Chapman visited friends in Colby last Friday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Thompson and children visited at Mrs. Osgood’s north of Granton, Sunday.

 

The Misses Elsie Brooks and Lizzie Yorkston were shopping in Neillsville last week Thursday, also Frankie and Roy Brooks.

 

Henry Sternitzky threshed last week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Peter Gaden, daughter Clara, Miss Grade, Max Opelt and family, Albert Sholtz and Ernest Montag attended the county fair.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Brooks and family were guests at Robert Teatz’, Sunday.

 

H.C. Chase returned from Merrill where he has been visiting friends for the past two months.

 

Henry Marg has improved the interior of his saloon by repainting the bar.

 

Mrs. Lester Tilton of Neillsville was a pleasant caller of Mrs. R.T. Washburn last Saturday.

 

R.T. Washburn went to Nasonville Wed. to take pictures of the church and other places at that place.

 

Mrs. Jim Sternitzky and daughter Bessie visited with Fred Sternitzky at Harris Spur this week.

 

T.F. Feldmaier transacted business at Granton last Friday.

 

Geo. Washington Carroll of Romadka called on friends in Lynn this week.

 

Mrs. M. St. Germain and children and Bessie Sparks were Sunday guests at Mrs. B. Stubbs.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Elery Messing of Sherwood visited with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. Stubbs, Sunday.

 

Albert Sholtz returned from Mather late last week.

 

Those who went from here fishing last Sunday on Black River as near as the writer can learn, were F. Helm, Earl Brooks, Jim Tremmeling, Arthur Chubb and W. Steinbach.

 

Frank Downing of Dexterville visited R.T. Washburn between train last Wednesday.
