Chili (27 May 1910)

 

Another little night frost cooled off the air Tuesday night, but not as cold any where as before.

 

Decoration Day will be observed again this year with a parade to the grounds in the morning and a program in the M. W. A. Hall in the afternoon commencing about 2 p.m. with music by the Chili Star Band, recitations, a mixed quartet and last bur not least a good speaker.

 

The wedding bells will be ringing in the near future according to latest reports.

 

Mrs. A. Degener and daughter Vivian went to Milwaukee last Saturday where Vivian is going to have her eyes treated.  On the way coming home they are going to stop at Green Bay to visit with Mr. and Mrs. C. Maack.

 

A large assortment of buggies still on hand at Degener’s with prices very reasonable with the very underlined.

 

Mrs. Wendorf arrived last week, also the car of household goods.  Mr. and Mrs. Wendorf went to housekeeping immediately.

 

Everybody is invited to attend a free lecture by C. J. Peterson of Brooklyn, N. Y., on "The Divine Plan of the Ages," Thursday and Friday evenings, June 2nd and 3rd at the M. E. Church at Chili.

 

The ladies of the Royal Neighbors Lodge will serve dinner Decoration Day at the Galloway House at 20c per plate.
