Linster, Bertha (7 August 1883 - 10 November 1962)
Mrs. Bertha L. Linster, 79, of Portland, Ore., a former resident of the Globe community, died November 10, in Portland, where funeral services were held Monday. The body arrived in Neillsville Tuesday and services were conducted Wednesday from the Zion American Lutheran Church in the Town of Pine Valley. The Rev. Evan Dieck officiated. Burial was made in the North Pine Valley Cemetery.
Mrs. Linster was born August 7, 1883, in the Town of Pine Valley, where she lived most of her lifetime. Following the death of her husband, Theodore, in 1940, she made her home with her children, going to Portland in 1952.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Alfred (Vivian) Schierholz of Portland, Ore., and a son, Ted of Neillsville; a grandchild and a great-grandchild.
Other survivors are a sister, Mrs. Earl (Hilda) Phillips of Vancouver, Wash.; and five brothers: William Beyer of Neillsville, Herman Beyer of Merrill, August Beyer of Neillsville, Elmer Beyer and Albert Beyer, both of Portland, Ore.
Local arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.

The Rev. Evan Dieck officiated at funeral services November 14, for Mrs. Bertha L. Linster, 79, of Portland, Ore., formerly of the Neillsville area, who died November 10 in Portland. Services were held from the Zion American Lutheran Church in Pine Valley, with burial made in the North Pine Valley Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Herman Belter, Herbert Henning, Earl Marden, Alvin Meihack, Andrew Turczyn and Thone Karnitz.
"The Old Rugged Cross" and "Asleep in Jesus" were sung by Wilfred B. Galstad, accompanied by Mrs. Kenneth Karnitz.
Those from away attending the service were: Mrs. Alfred (Vivian) Schierholz of Portland, Ore.; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Beyer of Merrill; George Beyer of Athens; Emma Henning Jensen of Racine; Al Goldamer of Abbotsford; Ed Keir, Mrs. John Kallas and Sally Fried of Eau Claire; Willis W. Brickheimer of Cable; Mrs. Gordon Thur of Fairchild; Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Thoma and family, Wisconsin Rapids; Theodore Wagner of Cadott; and Mr. and Mrs. John Linster and son of Greenwood.
