Grether, Rev. David #6 (1889 - 21 MAY 1945)

 

Rev. David Grether, pastor of the Humbird and Neillsville Reformed churches from 1915 to 1925, died suddenly early Monday morning of last week at the parsonage in Colby, of a heart attack, at the age of 55 years.  He had been located in Colby since the fall of 1942.  Rev. Grether is survived by his widow, the former Anna Marie Stucki, daughter of Rev. Jacob Stucki of the Indian mission; five children; his mother; four sisters; three brothers; and three grandchildren.  The funeral was held last Friday afternoon, and interment was in the Indian Mission Cemetery near Black River Falls.
