Sherwood Area (2 August 1962)

 

Mrs. John Wylie was called to Hamburg, Ia., last week.  Her father was badly injured in a truck accident and still is in critical condition.  Lawrence Kyle and John Pettit are doing their chores.


Mr. and Mrs. Ole Skretteberg entertained a niece and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Eauland Zecker and daughters recently.  They had been stationed in South Carolina and were enroute to Ogden, Utah, where he will be stationed in the army.

 

Ronald Feutz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Feutz, who is attending a (unreadable) school at a Greeley, Colo., college, accompanied his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Fine home from Colorado last week after they spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Feutz.  He will spend three weeks with Mr. and Mrs. Vine and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Feutz.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Claude Kyle and Lawrence spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Swatzina, Gilman. Mrs. Swatzina is a sister of Mr. Kyle.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Muglach and family and Mr. and Mrs. Paul Kuhn were Saturday supper guests at the George Allbaugh home.

 

Mrs. Johnson, Kenosha, who has been visiting Mrs. Art Williams, and Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Williams the past 10 days, returned to her home at Kenosha Sunday.  Her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Kastman, Kenosha, who had been vacationing at Hayward, took her home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ole Skretteberg and Mr. and Mrs. Norbert Pettit went on a trip to Wisconsin Dells and Randolph Sunday.

 

Sharon Williams went to Lake Geneva last week with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Mathews, and returned home Monday with her brother, Roger, who came home for a few days.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Reinart and family were visitors at the Alfred Spiegel home Wednesday evening.

 

Mrs. Fritz Swatzina and sons, Gilman, were visitors at the Claude Kyle home Thursday.

 

Mrs. Chris Feutz spent Monday afternoon last week and was a supper guest of Mrs. Art Williams and her cousin, Mrs. Johnson. 

 

Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Spiegel and family visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Laufenberg, Alma Center, Sunday and also went blue-berrying.

 

Mrs. Ella Boldt and son, Eugene, Milwaukee, were callers at the Irving Stevens home Friday.  They spent a few days with her sisters-in-law, Mrs. Ed Hagie and Mrs. Floyd Hagie.

 

The Cannonville Sunday school and Bible Study group had a picnic at Schuster Park Sunday.

 

John Urban, Sr. underwent surgery at Memorial Hospital Monday morning.

 

Richard and Janine Ammentorp, Milwaukee, came Sunday on the "400" to visit their uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Urban, and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Urban, Sr.
