Selz, Francis "Frank" #2 (11 JUN 1907 - 26 FEB 1945)

 

Francis Bernard Selz, youngest son of the late Ferdinand and Theresia Selz, died Feb. 26, 1945, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Dodgeville, following a major operation.  He was born in the town of Mentor (Clark Co., Wis.), June 11, 1907, where he grew to young manhood.  He left for Grant County in 1931, where he was employed as cheesemaker until last spring, when ill health necessitated his discontinuing.

 

Mr. Selz was married on July 15, 1932, to Miss Agatha Schneider, to which union four children were born, three of whom preceded him in death.

 

Funeral services were held at Platteville Thursday, March 1st, and interment was at Bloomington.

 

He leaves to mourn his wife and one son, Bernard; two sisters, Mrs. Alfred Kunz, Sitzer, and Mrs. Dominic Macknik, Eau Claire; and six brothers; Ferdinand and Herman, Humbird; Richard, Deer Park, Ohio; Louis, Eau Claire, Leo, Warrens; and Joseph, Cudahy, and a large number of nieces and nephews.
