Keene, Norma Lou (Marriage - June 1962)

 

Terry D. Schwantes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don Schwantes, has taken as his bride Norma Lou Keene of Huron, S. D.  The young couple is spending their honeymoon in the Ozarks and will later be at home at Eagle Heights, 106C, Madison. 

 

The marriage took place at the American Lutheran Church in Huron, vows being exchanged before the pastor, the Rev. Erling Erickson, in a double ring ceremony.

 

Mrs. Nelson L. Miner, Huron, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Eugene Grocott, Sioux Falls; Mrs. Richard Turk, Eau Claire, and Mary Jo Ryan, Lodi.  Attending the groom as bestman was his brother, Richard C. Schwantes, Los Angeles.  Groomsmen were Donald Bushkie, Milwaukee; Nelson Miner, Huron; Jeffrey Schwantes, brother of the groom.  Ushers were Glen Halter, Huron; William Schwantes, Lynn.

 

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis O. Keene of Huron. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Schwantes of Neillsville, who entertained the wedding party at a prenuptial dinner Friday at The Plains.

 

The bride received her B. S. degree from the Wisconsin State College at Eau Claire in 1962. She is affiliated with Delta Seta Sorority.

 

The groom is a 1957 graduate of Neillsville High School; now doing graduate study at the University of Wisconsin, majoring in mathematics and expects to do professional work along this line of his interest.
