Diercks, Emma (11 September 1888 - 25 June 1962)

 

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday for Mrs. William Diercks, 73, who died Monday evening at her home at 118 W. 19th Street., in Neillsville.  The Rev. T. Bradke of Marshfield officiated at the service from St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.  Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Mrs. Diercks, the former Emma Dudei was born September 11, 1888, in the Town of Grant and had resided in this area most of her adult life. On December 20, 1950, she was married to William Diercks in Withee.  She was the daughter of the late John and Caroline (White) Dudei.

 

She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Elva Dorst, Ontario, Cal.; and one son, DeWayne Felser, Neillsville.  Other survivors are three sisters: Mrs. Ida Radke, Neillsville, Mrs. Otto (Laura) Steinberg, and Mrs. John (Ella) Schwichtenberg, West Bend; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

 

Mrs. Diercks was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.

 

Funeral arrangements were made by the Georgas Funeral Home.

 

Pallbearers were Herman Tesmer, Paul Jacob, John Gloff, Alvin Jacob, Emil Wessenberg and Adolph Meyer.

 

"The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want," and "I’m but a Stranger here" were sung by Robert Mitte, accompanied by Paul Bartell.
