Gosse, Kathryn H. (Krueger) (July 16, 1926 - May 28, 2011)

 

Kathryn H. Gosse, age 84, of Colby, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at the Continental Manor in Abbotsford.


Her funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2011, at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. The Rev. Mark Neumann will officiate. A visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 27, at the Maurina Schilling Funeral Home in Abbotsford and also Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Burial will follow the service at Colby Memorial Cemetery.


Kathryn was born July 16, 1926, to Carl and Mary (Glenzer) Krueger in the Town of Green Grove.

 

She graduated from Colby High School. Kathryn was joined in marriage to Herman Gosse on October 25, 1947, at Zion Lutheran Church in Colby. She was a telephone operator for GTE in Colby and a switchboard operator for Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Marshfield and later worked in the kitchen at the Colonial Center in Colby. Kathryn enjoyed sewing, cooking, and playing cards especially pinochle. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family.


She is lovingly survived by her husband, Herman; her children, Jeff (Mary) Gosse of Prior Lake, Minn., Cheryl (Brian) Goodman of Madison, Judy Gosse of Madison, and Kevin Gosse of Punta Gorda, Fla. She is further survived by her grandchildren, Susan (Zach) Lein, Shaun Gosse, James Wagner, Russell Wagner, Rachael Goodman, and Ashley Goodman.


Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents, and her sister and brothers; Edna Krueger, Albert Laabs, Ernest Laabs, Oscar Laabs, Benny Krueger, and Alvin Krueger.


Kathryn’s family would like to thank the staff at the Golden Living Center-Continental Manor for their wonderful care and support.
