Tock, Milton J. (4 April 1929 - 6 April 1962)

 

Milton J. Tock, 33, a member of the staff of The Clark County Press for the last 19 years and printing superintendent at the time of his death, was buried Monday afternoon following services in the United Church of Christ in Neillsville.

 

The father of three children, Mr. Tock succumbed at 2:45 a.m. Friday to an illness of seven months.  His wife was at his bedside at Memorial Hospital when the end came.

 

The son of Norman and Leola (Daminski) Tock, he was born April 4, 1929, in Appleton.  He received his education in Neillsville, graduating from the high school here in 1947.  He started at The Press as an apprentice at the age of 14, following his graduation from the eighth grade.

 

A past-president of the Neillsville Junior Chamber of Commerce Mr. Tock was a member of the United Church of Christ, a member of the board of ushers and of the hospitality committee of the church.  He also served as a member of the Service Company, 128th Infantry Wisconsin National Guard.

 

On September 27, 1952, he was married to the former Nancy Francis in Neillsville.

 

The Rev. Frank B. Harcey was in charge of the service. A quartet composed of the Rev. Jacob Grether, Harry Hauge, Ervin Steiger and Ellis Wall, sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Evening Prayer."  They were accompanied by Mrs. Jess W. Scott at the organ.

 

Pallbearers were close friends: James Chadwick, Lowell Gress, Kenneth Karnitz, Leo Kessler, Ernest Schwellenbach and Frank Wasserburger.

 

Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

 

Arrangements were made by the Bergemann Funeral Home.

 

Mr. Tock is survived by his wife, Nancy and three young children: Thomas, Becky and Jane, all at home; by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Norman Tock of West Bend; and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Deloris Marshall, Robert Tock, William Tock, Mrs. John (Joan) Schroeder, all of West Bend; Richard Tock, Sparta; Shirley Tock Belvidere, Ill.; A/1c Eugene Tock, Grand Forks, N. D.; and Victor Tock, with the Army in Virginia.

D.; Victor Tock, with the Army in Virginia; Mrs. Clarence DeCremer, Sparta; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Neuenfeldt and sons, Spencer; Mrs. Mildred Carney, and Mr. and Mrs. James Carney and Linda, Chicago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. John Richards and Dave, Mount Prospect, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Ethel Nelson, Ridgeway; Mrs. Bert Reeter, Dodgeville; Mrs. Gail Studnicka, Muscoda; Eleanor Plank, Greenwood; Mr. and Mrs. James Chadwick, Greenwood and Mrs. Charles Klapatauskas, Withee.
