Clouse, Lillie (03 JUNE 1875-06 MAY 1956)

 

Mrs. Lillie Spry Clouse, 80, died Sunday morning at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield. For the past year and a half she had been making her home with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Spry of Marshfield.

 

Funeral services were held in the Loyal Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Virgil Holmes of Neillsville officiating. Burial was in the Loyal cemetery.

 

Mrs. Clouse, nee, Lillie Patno, was born at Richland Center, June 3, 1875. She was married to Anderson J. Spry, August 13, 1893. In 1899 they moved to a home near Granton. Mr. Spry died in 1914.

 

January 27, 1917 she was married to Charles Clouse. They lived in Loyal. He died in July 1951. Much of the time since his death she has made her home with the Sprys in Marshfield.

 

Mrs. Clouse was a member of the Loyal Methodist Church and The Royal Neighbor Society of Loyal.

 

Surviving Mrs. Clouse are two sons, Homer of Marshfield, and Wilson Spry of Sidney, New York; 12 grandchildren, And 18 great-grandchildren. Three children, Myron, Ralph and Magdalen, preceded her in death.

 

Mrs. Clouse is also survived by step children, Lee Clouse and Mrs. Lida Young, Loyal; Mrs. Nellie Newell, Mount Vernon, Ohio; Ira Clouse, Armarillo, Texas; Louis Clouse, Taylor; and Irvin Clouse, address unknown.
