Andersen, Anita J. (4 SEP 1960)

 

Miss Anita J. Andersen and Mr. Dean L. Moe were joined in marriage Sept. 4, 1960, at Bethesda Lutheran Church, Ames, Iowa.  Their parents are Mr. and Mrs. Dan B. Andersen, Owen, and Mr. and Mrs. Louis S. Moe, Hoople, N.D.

 

The Reverends Robert W. Larsen and Otis M. Severseike officiated at the wedding service.  The ministry of music was led by Mrs. Vincent Roach, organist, Mr. Glen Accola, choir director, and Mr. Robert Wunderlich, soloist.  The Bethesda Lutheran Senior Choir sang, "Love Devine, All Loves excelling," and "Jesus, Joy of Man’s Desiring" was sung by Mr. Wunderlich.

 

Mrs. Ivan Goplen, college friend of the bride, was the matron of honor, and the sister of the bride, Miss Alice Andersen, was the junior maid of honor.  The bridesmatron was Mrs. Glenn Gorder, sister of the groom.  Miss Karen Nelson, college friend of the bride, was the bridesmaid.

 

The groom’s brother, Mr. Keith Moe, was the best man.  The groomsmen were Mr. Clare Aubol and Mr. Glenn Halvorson, college friends of the groom.

 

The ushers were Mr. Arthur Andersen, brother of the bride, Mr. Lynn Moe, Mr. Richard Moe, brothers of the groom, Mr. Glenn Gorder, brother-in-law of the groom, and Mr. Paul Dussere, college friend of the groom.  Mr. Chris Moe, brother of the groom, was a junior usher.

 

The bride’s gown was made of dull finish satin with simplicity in the design of the bodice and full, floor length skirt.  She wore a long veil trimmed with lace.  Her hat was a circle of white pompoms and her bouquet was a large white mum surrounded with white pompoms.

 

The attendants of the bride wore tangerine dresses of a fine cotton and carried large yellow mums.  Their hats were made of yellow pompoms.  The groom and his attendants and the ushers wore white dinner jacket semi-formal wear.

 

A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the University Lutheran Student Center of Ames, Iowa.  The wedding cake was made and decorated by the groom’s mother, Mrs. Louis Moe.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Moe are residing in Minneapolis, Minn., where she is the counselor at the Lutheran Student Center of the University of Minnesota.  Mr. Moe is a student at the Luther Theological Seminary, St. Paul, Minn.  Mrs. Moe is a graduate of St. Olaf College, Northfield, Minn., and has completed her studies in child development and psychology at Iowa St. University, Ames, Iowa.  Mr. Moe graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead, Minn., and served on the staff of Bethesda Lutheran Church as Director of Christian Education.
