Ericksmoen, Elizabeth (13 AUG 1960)

Following a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, Mr. and Mrs. Tollack R. Mageland will make their home at 1616 ½ Denton St., La Crosse, where the groom is a student at Wis. State College.

The former Miss Elizabeth Jane Ericksmoen of La Crosse and Tollack Ronald Mageland were married at a 1:30 p.m. ceremony Saturday, Aug. 13, 1960, by the Rev. Arvid Myhrwold in Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Longwood.  They are the daughter and son of Mr. and Mrs. John O. Ericksmoen of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) and Mr. and Mrs. Tollack Mageland of Viroqua.

Mrs. Lester Hansen of Withee was organist as Mrs. Kenneth Phillips sang "Because" and "The Lord’s Prayer."

The bride was given in marriage by her father.  She wore a gown of tissue taffeta and Venice lace with a court train.  Sequin studded diamond squares of lace decorated the Sabrina neckline and front of the empire styled bodice of taffeta with long sleeves.  The skirt was bell shaped, a half-hat of lace held her fingertip length veil of illusion, and she carried a bouquet of red roses, white carnations and Stephanotis.

Mrs. Donald Cramer of Wausau was matron of honor and bridesmaids were Mrs. Tom Petruzates of Thorp, Mrs. Gerald Dall of Milwaukee, with Miss Vickie Jacobsen of Readstown as junior bridesmaid.

They wore blue nylon sheer floor length gowns with scoop necklines, short sleeves and princess lines.  Matching cloches in petal detail with blush veils completed their ensembles.  They carried colonial bouquets of vari-colored carnations.

Julie Jacobsen of Colby and Pamela Stillwell of Viroqua were flower girls.

Merlin Mageland was his brother’s best man and groomsmen were Tom Petruzates of Thorp, Allan Ericksmoen and James Ericksmoen of Owen.  James Jacks and Donald Cramer ushered.

Following the service a reception was held in the Longwood Parish Hall and a dance was held at the American Legion in Owen.

The bride is a graduate of Owen-Withee High School and has been employed by the Trane Co. in La Crosse.  Mr. Mageland is a graduate of Viroqua High School.
