Luscher, Violet (26 DEC 1959)

"With this ring I thee wed, in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost," were the words each of the two spouses spoke to each other in the double ring ceremony which was solemnized Saturday afternoon, Dec. 26, 1959, before the altar of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at Curtiss.  The parties agreeing to the solemn, divinely established contract, binding until death parts them, were Miss Violet Luscher, daughter of Mrs. and Mrs. Vilas Luscher of route 3, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. Thomas Pfeifer, son of Mr. August Pfeifer, who wife, nee Carrie York, has been dead for a number of years.  The home of the couple will be 324 S. First St., Black River Falls.

Best man was Ronald Walters, maid of honor, Miss Marlene Messmann, attendants were Mrs. Patricia Beaver and Jack Leffingwell, flower girl was Barbara Burris and Jeffrey E. Dalis was ring bearer.  Ushers were Glen Luscher and Richard Anderson.  The vocal soloist was Bunnie Diedrich, and the organist, Miss Darlene Manglos.

Pastor T. Predoehl used as a text for a wedding address, the words of May: "My soul doth magnify the Lord, and my spirit hath rejoice in God, my Savior."

The Ladies’ Aid of St. Paul’s Church served a delicious wedding dinner in the church hall of the Curtiss E.L.C. Church at about 4:00 p.m.  Prior to this dinner many gifts received by the happy bride and groom were arranged on a table and then opened.
