Parker, John (22 MAY 1886 - 28 NOV 1959)

 

A cerebral hemorrhage was fatal to John Lee Parker, a resident of this city for 48 years, Saturday evening.  Death came to him at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield where he had been a patient since the previous Thursday.

 

Funeral services were held at 2:00 o’clock Tuesday afternoon from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home.  The Rev. Ralph Claybaugh officiated with burial being made at Riverside Cemetery.  In charge of the floral offerings were Mesdames R.E. Gabriel and John Barnaski.  Elmer Rossman, Ed Ruesch, John Barnaski, Gust Braun, Roy Gabriel and Carl Andreasen acted as pallbearers.

 

Since coming to Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) in 1911 Mr. Parker was associated with the lumber industry until his retirement three years ago.  He was born May 22, 1886 in the town of Pink Valley, Clark County.  On Nov. 19, 1910, he and Hulda Larson were united in marriage at Neillsville and moved here shortly thereafter.

 

Mourning his sudden passing are his wife, one son, Harold, of Owen, one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Thelma) Pueschner of St. Paul, Minn., and four grandchildren.
