Mrs. John Seif, 79, of Neillsville, died Monday at the Neillsville Nursing Home following a long illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. this (Thursday) afternoon from the Bergemann Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank B. Harcey of the United Church of Christ will officiate. Mrs. Seif, the former Adella Jacklin, was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John (Mary Mund) Jacklin. She was born July 28, 1882, in the Town of Weston and received her education in that town’s schools. Prior to her marriage she took care of her grandmother at home.

On January 16, 1903, she was married to John Seif in Neillsville. They farmed in the Town of Seif until the fall of 1947, when they moved to Neillsville to make their home.

She was a member of the United Church of Christ and The Royal Neighbors of America.

Mrs. Seif is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd (Viola) Nelson, Milaca, Minn.; two sons, Harley of Milwaukee, and Robert of Rt. 3, Neillsville.  Seven grandchildren, a great-grandchild and a brother, Ellis Jacklin of Stevens Point, also survive.
