Brenner, Roy (convicted of adultery - 14 Feb 1914))

Last Saturday Roy Brenner was brought before Judge O’Neill charged with adultery, to which he pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment at Waupun.  Brenner is the individual who had been held in the county jail for a couple weeks, being suspected of being the Chili bank robber.  There was not proof sufficient to hold him on this charge, although those who saw the robber and looked him over were unanimous in their statement that the two looked surprisingly alike.  Brenner is a bad actor, having served at Green Bay and has all the earmarks of a hardened criminal.
