Kuenzi, Gladys M. #2 (1 NOV 1958)

Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford, was the setting for the exchange of marriage vows between Miss Gladys M. Kuenzi, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter E. Kuenzi of Abbotsford, and Junior H. Gosse, son of Mrs. Doris Gosse and the late Henry Gosse, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.).

The 2:00 o’clock ceremony was performed by the Rev. F. H. Sprengler on Saturday.  Miss Dorothy Kieser and Miss Marilyn Kieser sang "O Perfect Love" and "Jesus, Lead Thou On," accompanied at the organ by Miss Shirley Sprengler.

Miss Kuenzi was escorted by her father to the altar which was decorated with white and yellow chrysanthemums.  She wore a gown of delustered satin peau de soie over nylon net and taffeta with a full circular chapel train.  The molded bodice was styled with a scoop neckline embroidered with lace appliques studded with iridescent sequins and seed pearls.  A veil of imported French silk illusion in fingertip length was held to a lace bonnet with scalloped fluted brim trimmed with seed pearls and sequins.  She carried a cascade bouquet of yellow roses and white carnations.

Mrs. Samuel Bahr, Milwaukee, the groom’s sister, was matron of honor.  She wore a gown of turquoise satin over net styled in ballerina length, short sleeves with bow trim and a V neckline.  A pleated cummerbund ended at the back with a large bow over a satin pleated skirt.  Bridesmaids, Mrs. Victor Gosse of Curtiss, and Mrs. Clyde Schultz of Merrill, the bride’s sister, wore identically styled gowns in pumpkin color.  All carried cascade bouquets of yellow and white chrysanthemums and white carnations.

Junior bridesmaid was Janice Kay Gosse, niece of the groom.

Attendants to the groom were Samuel Bahr, best man, and Victor Gosse, Clyde Schultz and John Myre, groomsmen.  Ronald Gosse and Arvin Gosse were ushers.

A reception as held at the parental Walter Kuenzi home with a supper at Mary and Pete’s Supper Club, Medford.  A dance was held in the evening at Kolby Park Pavilion, Colby.

Mr. Gosse is serving with the United State Army and Mrs. Gosse has been employed by Employers Mutual of Wausau.  They will make their home in Abbotsford.
