Neillsville, Wisconsin Locals (11 January 1962)

 

William Chandler of Lake Wissota visited the Rev. and Mrs. Frank B. Harcey Thursday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Orin Eastman, who were called to California in mid-December because of the serious illness of a sister, witnessed the Rose Bowl Parade in Pasadena, New Year’s Day.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Walter Junchen of Fargo, N. D. visited Mr. and Mrs. Harold Junchen last weekend.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Scholtz are making trips to Bethel Home in Arpin twice a week to see her brother, Fritz Gall. Mr. Gall is reported making progress.

 

Gene Scholtz of Storm Lake, Ia., was a weekend visitor at the Ralph Scholtz home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hartenstein of Waukesha were weekend visitors at the William Tullis home.  Mr. and Mrs. Tullis were supper guests Thursday at the Ralph Scholtz home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Keith Counsell and family returned last weekend to Detroit, Mich., following an eight-day visit at the Lewis Scholtz home.  Mrs. and Mrs. William Hill and family of Elroy, Mr. and Mrs. Arlo Scholtz and family of Eau Claire and Charles Scholtz of Milwaukee were weekend visitors there.

 

Mrs. Charles Havlicek, Jr., has returned home from Memorial Hospital, where she was a patient for five days.  Her daughter, Diane, stayed with her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Havlicek, Sr.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hohenstein were weekend visitors at the Charles Havlicek, Jr. home.

 

Mrs. Jud Lyons and Mrs. Nick Sydorowicz visited their husbands in the Veterans’ hospital in Madison last week.

 

Lee Keller of Minneapolis was a weekend visitor at the Elmer Keller home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Swenson visited James and his family in Waukesha last week.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Victor Anderson of Chili Corners visited Mr. and Mrs. Charles Havlicek, Jr., last weekend.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Horswill of Milwaukee and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Paulus and family of La Crosse visited at the Richard M. Horswill home last weekend.  Mr. Horswill has been ill.

 

Merlyn Kroll returned to Milwaukee Sunday following a two-week vacation spent with his wife and relatives in the area.

 

Mrs. Donald Ayers and children of New Lisbon visited several days last week at the Forest Thompson home.

 

Joyce Vincent of Eau Claire visited Mr. and Mrs. James Vincent last weekend.

 

Phillip Thompson of Rockford, Ill., visited Mr. and Mrs. Forest Thompson and family last weekend.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Eddy and family of Neillsville were dinner guests at the Lavern Konze home in Cataract Sunday.  June Kay Konze, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lavern Konze, successfully came through heart surgery in November.

 

Mrs. Lulu Eddy of Neillsville and Black River Falls is visiting at the Jack Eddy home in Beloit.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Hansen of Watertown were weekend visitors at the Earl Bemis and Gary Corey homes.

 

Gail Giloy returned last weekend from Milwaukee, where she visited her sister and other relatives.

 

Tom Overman of River Falls visited at the Dr. M. V. Overman home last weekend.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Francis Michels of Alma Center visited friends in Neillsville Saturday.

 

Mrs. Blanche Zimmerman flew to Detroit, Mich., last week to visit her daughter, Ruth, and her family.  Her son Jack and family of Toronto, Ont., Canada, planned to meet her there and take her to Toronto with them for an extended visit.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Christie and Larry visited Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Thoma and family in Wisconsin Rapids Saturday.

 

Bill Schultz and James Christie of La Crosse visited at the Jerry Christie home last weekend.
