Columbia, Wisconsin (19 October 1961)

 

John Putz was a dinner guest at the Alvin Wendt home in Neillsville Sunday.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Van Horn of Alma Center visited Mr. and Mrs. John Sollberger Friday afternoon.  Mrs. Van Horn and Mrs. Sollberger are sisters.

 

Mrs. Bertha Sherman and Harvey of Merrillan visited at the John and William Sollberger homes Sunday afternoon.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Winter, Pine Valley were Friday evening visitors at the Wilson Bohnhoff home.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Kolbrak and Larry of Altoona spent Sunday afternoon with her parents, the John Sollbergers.

 

Mr. and Mrs. William Sollberger accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ackerman on a trip to La Crosse and Winona Wednesday.  Mrs. Sollberger is a sister to Mr. Ackerman.

 

In a letter to Mrs. William Sollberger, Mrs. Elizabeth Scherman Everett writes - "I hope we will be back that way again soon.  I really didn’t see enough of Columbia the last time." Mrs. Everett was writing from Niagara Falls, Ontario. She and Mr. Everett had visited at the Sollberger home in August, where they inquired the way to the former Dr. Scherman home where Mrs. Everett had spent her early childhood. The Everett’s are touring the United States and southeastern Canada before returning to their home in Hawthorne, Calif.
