Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Speich attended the National American Legion convention at Denver, Colo.

 

Mr. and Mrs. John Voskuil of Baldwin spent last Wednesday and Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Verhulst.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Severson and Miss Louise Keiner were Thursday visitors in Neillsville.

 

Herbert Belisle of Madison is spending a week with his sister, Mrs. Harlan Brux, and her family.

 

The Birthday club was entertained Monday evening by Mrs. Fred Behrens, with a dinner at the café, followed by cards at the William Steiger home. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Don Warner, Mrs. William Steiger, Miss Irene O’Connell and Mrs. A. C. Buker.

 

Miss Patricia Susa, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Susa, Jr., entertained Sunday in celebration of her birthday with a pizza party at noon and the theatre.  In the evening the group enjoyed a horse and buggy ride. Those present were: Coleen Syth, Kathleen Maas, Shirley Rondorf, Lila Schwarze, Bernadine Koschak, Kathleen Herr, Carol Severson, and Patricia’s brother and sisters, Leonard, Luann and Linda Susa.

 

Sunday visitors at the Robert Stewart home were Mr. and Mrs. Esper Jepsen and children of Kaukauna, who spent the weekend here.  Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stewart and family and Lloyd Christenson of Stanley; Mr. and Mrs. Gary Rohde and son of Colby; Mr. and Mrs Jack Helding and family of Rothschild; Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Atcherson and family of unity; Miss Joanne Jackson of Eau Claire; Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Stewart and family, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Stewart and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Decker and sons.

 

Ritajean Carteron was six years old Thursday.  To celebrate her birthday friends were entertained at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Carteron. Guests were Debra Hempel, Debbie, Duane and Tom Zepaltus, Kathy and Jeffrey Walters, Beverly Bayuk and Allen Brux.  Others were Mrs. Hugh Severson, Mrs. Cleo Maines, Mrs. Frank Bayuk, Mrs. John Zepaltus and Ritajean’s brother and sister, Ronald and Gail Carteron.

 

Mrs. Selma Gustafson of Chicago is spending a week with her sister, Mrs. Josie Hubble, and other relatives. She will be accompanied on her return by Mr. Hubble, who will visit there.

 

Mrs. Almay Dyre of Syracuse, N. Y., is spending some time at the home of Mrs. Ingeborg Hogue and with her mother-in-law, Mrs. Annie Dyre, and other relatives.

 

Mrs. Dale Rustad and son, and Mrs. John Kaltinger, visited Willard Tuesday at the home of Mrs. Dale Thompson.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Vollrath, Elkhorn and Mr. and Mrs. D. Vollrath and family of Clintonville spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vollrath.

 

Carl Harvey of Springfield, Ill., and T/Sgt. Don Burns of Minot, N. D., spent from Wednesday until Saturday at the Robert Stewart home.  Mr. Harvey was a buddy of Mr. Stewart in World War I.  Other weekend guests were the Stewart’s son-in-law and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Gary Rohde and son of Colby.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Harold Warner and family of Chetek spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Don Warner.

 

Mrs. Rose Ludwig and Mrs. Jake Speich and daughter spent several days recently in Eau Claire with Mr. and Mrs. Don Speich.

 

Mr. and Mrs. David Meyer of Minneapolis spent the weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Meyer.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Meyer left Tuesday to spend a few days at Kaukauna with Mr. and Mrs. Lester Abel.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Otto Voie and Mr. and Mrs. Godfrey Dyre and daughter visited in Eau Claire Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dunn.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Larry Cook and family have moved from the Kenyon apartment to Marshfield, where Mr. Cook is employed.

 

Alfred Kaltinger of Elmhurst, Ill., and Stanley Mikottis of Bensenville, Ill., spent a few days recently at the John Kaltinger home.
