G.B. Andrews and family of Longwood visited Greenwood relatives Sunday.

A boy was born Sunday morning to Mr. and Mrs. W. Kuester. This is No. 1.

The John S. Owen lands in town 27-2 and 27-1 west, for sale by C.H. Clute.

Mrs. Martin Anderson, who has been very sick, underwent an operation Thursday of last week, Drs. Barber and Nielsen being in attendance.

Lutheran church services will be held at the Larson school house Sunday, March 30, at 3:00 p.m., by Rev. John C. Haugum of Dorchester.

Dr. Kennedy wishes to announce to his many Greenwood friends that he will be at the Greenwood House next Monday, March 31, for one day only. Consultation free.

The Baptist church has an assistant pastor, Robert McCaslin Scafe by name, Mr. and Mrs. Ch. R. Scafe being the proud parents, who will celebrate Mar. 27 as the lad's natal day.

Paul and Louise Gemmeke took the noon train Thursday for Washington, where they will spend the summer in looking over the Golden West. They have two sisters residing there.

Jas. Hasey and brother of Columbia county were here Friday with Erastus Bowen, looking up a farm. They were highly pleased with the country. They looked at the Geo. Huntzicker farm.

Abbie Edwards, who is teaching between Chili and Veefkind, spent Sunday with her sister, Mrs. J.E. Noyes, returning Monday morning to Loyal to attend the teachers' examinations there.

Ebbw Vale is the name that Dan Cook has given to his place near town. It is a Welch name meaning a valley with a little creek running through it. Certainly a very appropriate name for Mr. Cook's place.
