Trachte, Arlene (Marriage - 8 July 1961)

Wedding vows were exchanged Saturday by Miss Arlene Trachte, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Trachte of Neillsville, and Lyle Abrahamson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Abrahamson of Fairchild. The double ring ceremony was performed in the Zion Lutheran Church in Granton by the Rev. L. E. Schreiber.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride approached the altar attired in a floor length gown of hand clipped Chantilly lace and tulle over satin. The full bouffant skirt of tulle, with lace overskirt was enhanced with pleated tulle. The fitted bodice was fashioned with a pearl and sequin trimmed portrait neckline and long, fitted sleeves that came to a point at the wrists.

Her imported English veil of silk illusion was attached to an open crown, jeweled with aurora borealis.  She carried a heart shaped bouquet centered with a spray of red roses.

Miss Bernice Trachte, as her maid of honor, wore a maize gown of lace over taffeta. The skirt was floor length, with a chiffon cummerbund that cascaded into a flare at one side. The fitted bodice with portrait neckline, had capped sleeves. A clip headpiece completed her outfit.

Bridesmaids were Miss Susie Abrahamson, Miss Karen Trachte, Miss Janice Greeler and Mrs. Jesse Hagen.  They wore powder blue dresses fashioned identical to that of the maid of honor.  They carried bouquets styled like the bride’s, but centered with a spray of carnations.

The groom was attended by Bernard Abrahamson of Gilman as bestman.  His groomsmen were Arnold Trachte of Madison, Romaine Boyer, Harold Mayer and Jesse Hagen.  Lamoine Anason and Richard Trachte ushered.

"The Lord’s Prayer and "O Perfect Love" were sung by Esther Szydel, who was accompanied at the organ by Mrs. L. E. Schreiber.

When the new Mr. and Mrs. Abrahamson return from a wedding trip in northern Wisconsin they will reside in Fairchild.

The bride is a graduate of Neillsville High School (1957) and Wood County Normal School, and for the last two years has taught the Worchel School in the Town of Seif.  She will teach in Fairchild in the coming school year.

Mr. Abrahamson has employment with the Fairchild School system and on the railroad.
