Beck, Marjorie L. ‘Margie’ (8 March 1955 - 6 March 2011)

 

Marjorie L. Beck, 55, of Cecil passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011, at her home.

 

Born March 8, 1955, in Marshfield she was the daughter of Walter and Margaret (Ewing) Michalak. Margie grew up in Neillsville. She was united in marriage Dec. 16, 1983, to Kip Beck in Lewisville, TX. The couple lived in Minnesota and Texas until moving to their current home in the Town of Washington in 1989.  For 15 years, Margie ran a milk testing business. She also managed a pet store for the past 10 years.  Margie was a member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church at White Clay Lake where she had been a former Sunday school teacher and Youth Group leader.  In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren, and she also liked walking her dog, Joey.  Margie was known for her great cooking.

 

Margie is survived by her husband, Kip; three children, Chris (Angela) Vieau of Columbus, Tammy (Geoff) Esser of New London and Amber (Jesse) Bahr of Cecil; and four grandchildren, Zachary and Madelyn Esser, Brayden Vieau and Leighton Vieau (due in June) .  Margie is further survived by her parents, Walter and Margaret Michalak of Neillsville; her father-in-law, David Beck of Neillsville; five sisters, Linda Michalak of Neillsville, Debbie (Jim) Reichenbach of Lake Mills, Tammy (Tim) Kren of Osseo, Brenda (Gary) Meihak of Neillsville, Mary (Bill) Riddle of Neillsville; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 

Margie was preceded in death by a brother, Dave Michalak, and mother-in-law, Shirley Beck.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 12, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in White Clay Lake with the Rev. Steven Pockat officiating. Visitation will be held at the Swedberg-Wendt Funeral Home in Bonduel Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and at the church Saturday after 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
