Bannach, John J. (? - 8 MAR 2011)

John J. Bannach was born into eternal life March 8, 2011, at Memorial Medical Center in Neillsville, after a brief illness.

Loving father of Ricia (Jim) Prothero and Rhondi Bannach.

Proud grandpa of Daniel (Amy) Prothero and Nicki Prothero Wolosek. Honored great-grandpa of Alyssa and Anthony Prothero and Riana and Jack Wolosek.

He is further survived by his sister, Maureen Bannach, and many other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Elaine; his mother and step-father, Mabel and Alex Schneider; his father, John Bannach; and his brother, Donald W. Bannach.

John proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and spent two years in Korea. After serving his country, he learned the masonry trade and helped build many schools, churches and hospitals. John moved from Milwaukee to Chili in 1976, where he fulfilled a lifelong dream of raising beef cattle.

Private family services were held. Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home in Marshfield assisted the family with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society are appreciated.
