Kortkamp, Linda Lee (Marriage - 10 June 1961)

The marriage of John Vig Temte, son of Mr. and Mrs. John R. Temte of Neillsville, to Linda Lee Kortkamp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Kortkamp of Wisconsin Rapids, was solemnized Saturday in First Methodist Church, Wisconsin Rapids. The Rev. E. Duane Hulse of Wisconsin Rapids and Milton C. Feldt of Kenosha officiated in a double ring ceremony.

Approximately 250 guests attended the ceremony in the church, which was decorated with white gladioli and pompons. The bride was attired in a poi du Soie gown with sculptured bodice and scoop neckline that came to a "V" in front, and long tapering sleeves.  French piping accented the long torso waistline and the voluminous skirt swept gracefully into a chapel train. Her head piece was a Swedish crown of net leaves, with pearl clip caught to a fingertip veil of silk illusion.  She carried flowers of white roses and ivy.

Jean Morzinski of Wisconsin Rapids was maid of honor; Mrs. James Konarski of Cedar Rapids, Ia., and Margaret DeCaigny of Wisconsin Rapids were bridesmaids.  David Temte of Neillsville, a brother of the groom, was best man; Robert Miller of Withee and Allan Temte, brother of the groom were groomsmen. Thomas Pierce of Madison and Richard Temte, brother of the groom, were ushers.

Bernhardt Denniston of Pittsville sang, "Because" and "The Lord’s Prayer."

A reception in the church lounge followed the ceremony.

The bride graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, in June, with a Bachelor of Science degree and is now a student in the University of Wisconsin Medical School.

The groom received his Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Wisconsin in Madison in June and will continue his studies in the medical school.  He is a member of Phi Chi fraternity.
