Schiller, Carol Ann (Marriage - 6 May 1961)

Nuptial vows were exchanged Saturday in St. Mary’s Catholic Church here by Miss Carol Ann Schiller of Eau Claire, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Schiller of Neillsville and Thomas Allen Belknap, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Belknap of Eau Claire. The Rev. Fr. Joseph Eisenmann performed the double ring ceremony before an altar banked with two large bouquets of white and lavender pompons.

She was given in marriage by her father, who is the Clark County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

The bride was attired in a floor length gown of nylon sheer over tulle and taffeta. The full bouffant skirt was fashioned with appliqués of lace and a large back bow. The fitted bodice, with a pearl-trimmed, scooped neckline, enhanced with hand-clipped Chantilly lace appliqués in a bow fashion, was styled with short sleeves. A sequin and pearl trimmed crown held the fingertip veil of silk illusion. She carried a crescent shaped bouquet of white sweetheart roses and lavender carnations.

Her maid of honor, Miss Jeannette Boge of Marshfield, and junior bridesmaid, Miss Jill Schiller, were attired in lavender street length dresses of silk organza.  A shirred back accented by satin roses styled the fitted bodices and the bouffant skirts.  Matching crown headpieces, trimmed with seed pearl arches, held their blush veils.

Robert Walker of Eau Claire was bestman.  Ushers were Frank Sloup and James Belmore.

A reception was held in the afternoon at the Merchants Hotel in Neillsville.

The bride, a graduate of the Neillsville High School, and the groom, a graduate of the Memorial High School in Eau Claire, both are employed in Eau Claire, where they will reside at 707 ½ Fountain St. on their return from a wedding trip to Minneapolis.
