Steinwand, Meta #2 (9 AUG 1876 - 20 MAY 1962)

Mrs. Ambrose Steinwand, 85, Colby, died at her home on May 30, 1962.  Funeral services were held Saturday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the Rev. John Pinion officiating.  Burial was made in the Colby Cemetery.

Mrs. Steinwand, the former Meta Frome, was born Aug. 9, 1876 in Sheboygan County.  She was a resident of Colby and that vicinity since she was eight years old.

Surviving her are her son, Herbert, and a daughter, Miss Laura Steinwand, of Colby, two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  A brother Louis Frome, and a sister, Mrs. Ida Tesmer, Colby, also survive.
