Krultz, Dorothy Ann (Marriage - 28 January 1961)

Dorothy Ann Krultz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Selvian Krultz of Greenwood, became the bride of Frank A. Galiger, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Galiger of Antioch, Ill., at services performed in the First Congregational Church at Owen last Saturday.  The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Ralph Claybaugh.

The bride, a student at Marquette University in Milwaukee, approached the altar on the arm of her father.  Her bridal gown was of embroidered silk bombazine over net and taffeta, with Basque bodice, a portrait neckline trimmed with pearls and sequins, and three quarter length, fitted sleeves. The very bouffant skirt, with embroidered panels, extended from the bodice into a chapel train. The fingertip veil was of imported silk illusion attached to a Princess crown trimmed with rhinestones.

She wore pearls, the gift of the groom, and carried a bouquet of white orchids and stephanotis on a white Bible.

Miss Donna Krultz of Milwaukee was her sister’s maid-of-honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Joane Bonelright of Clinton, Miss Priscilla Hintz, and Miss Dorothy Randalls, both of Milwaukee and Miss Alice Turnquist of Greenwood.

The attendants wore matching blue velveteen gowns fashioned with snug bodice, bateau neckline, push-up sleeves and circular full skirts.  They wore velvet bows with fur accent and short circular veils, and carried white fu muffs with blue carnations.

Mrs. Selvian Krultz, the mother of the bride, was attired in a stone green sheath of Peon do Soie, and matching hat and gold accessories; and the groom’s mother wore a black sheath with short jacket.  The bride’s grandmother attended in a two piece blue dress and wore a corsage of blue and white carnations.

M. Lewis Galiger, Jr., of Antioch, Ill., was his brother’s bestman. Groomsmen were Paul Klanchar of Willard, a cousin of the bride, and Edward and Ralph Krultz, brothers of the bride. David Krultz, another brother, ushered.

Miss Kathryn Novobielski of Greenwood, a friend, was flowergirl. She wore a blue velveteen dress and headpiece similar to those of the bridesmaids.

A reception and wedding dinner for 125 were held in the American Legion Hall at Owen. Miss Dorothy Randalls of Milwaukee, a friend, served punch, and Miss Joan Arch of Milwaukee, cut the wedding cake.

A cake was presented to the bride’s grandparents in commemoration of their 59th wedding anniversary, which had occurred January 26.

Both young people are graduates of Greenwood high School.  The groom is employed by Chicago Fly-Ask Company.
