Moffatt, Harold, (10 December 1921 - 30 January 1961)

 

Harold Moffatt, 39, a native of the Town of Grant, died Monday night in Vancouver, Wash.  News of his death came to his mother, Mrs. Hallie (Lillian) Moffatt of Neillsville, Tuesday morning.

 

Mr. Moffatt had been ill many months.  His mother made a trip west in October 1960, to be with him and to assist with his care.  She returned before Christmas and was called back in January.  She was accompanied on the second trip by her son Norman, and his family, who made the trip by car. The Moffatts returned to Neillsville January 15.

 

He leaves his wife and 13-years old son, Gerald Lee.

 

Funeral services and burial will be in Vancouver; but the date had not been set.

Funeral services were held in Vancouver, Wash., February 3, for Harold K. Moffatt, 39, who died January 30, after several years’ illness with Leukemia.

 

He was born December 20, 1921, in Clark County and was graduated from Neillsville High School with the class of 1941.  He served with the Marines in the Southwest Pacific for three years.

 

He was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

 

Surviving are his widow; Mrs. Anita L. Moffatt, a son, Gerald; his mother, Mrs. Lillian Moffatt of Neillsville; and a brother, Norman of Menasha.

The Rev. Harold Turner officiated at the services.  The burial was made in the Willamette National Cemetery, at Portland, Ore.
