Foemmel, Raymond H. (4 NOV 1914 - 4 FEB 2011)
Raymond H. Foemmel, 96, formerly of Granton, died Feb. 4, 2011, at Serenity Hospice House in Phoenix, Ariz.
A celebration of Raymond's life will be Saturday, Feb. 12, 2011, at the Good Shepherd Chapel in Mesa, Ariz.
He was born Nov. 4, 1914, in Clark County to Fred and Margaret (Lautenbach) Foemmel. Raymond was a lifelong dairy farmer. He married Doris E. Spry on May 2, 1942. Together they operated their rural Granton farm until they retired in 1972.
They moved to Loveland, Colo., in 1991, and in 2002, Raymond and Doris moved to Arizona, first to Tucson and then to Mesa, where Doris passed away in 2004.
He is survived by three daughters, Joyce Rose and JoyAnn Gold of Sun Lakes, Ariz., and Janice (Jim) Mesar of Mesa, Ariz.; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
