Albrecht, William J. (9 November 1872 - 2 January 1961)

 

Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o’clock for William J. Albrecht, 88, Rt. 1 Granton, who died Monday at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Emroy Albrecht. The Rev. Evan Dieck will officiate at services from the Zion American Lutheran Church, town of Grant. Burial will be made in the Lynn Cemetery.

 

Mr. Albrecht was born November 9, 1872, in Germany, and came to America with his parents the following year. The family settled in the Town of Fremont. 

 

He was married September 20, 1897, to the former Emma Neinas, who preceded him in death. Following their marriage they moved onto a farm in the Town of Lynn, which has been his home for the last 63 years.  During his lifetime he served on the town board and school board.

 

Surviving are two sons, Emroy of the Town of Lynn, and Edgar of Chicago; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

 

Pallbearers will be Rudolph Sternitzky, Fred Zuelke, Raymond Payne, Walter Roehl, Ray Keuer and Louis Grade.
