Mrs. Marie Spencer of Unity and William N. Thompson of Menasha repeated their wedding vows Saturday afternoon at 4 o’clock in a candlelight ceremony at the Assembly of God Church, Abbotsford.  The Rev. Lillian Jensen read the marriage service and the Rev. Chester Franzke, the pastor of Grace Evangelical Church of Elbow Lake, Minn., a son-in-law of Mr. Thompson, assisted at the ceremony with scripture reading and prayer.

 

Miss Linnea Jensen was pianist and accompanist for Mrs. Duane Newman of Unity, who sang "I Love You Truly" and "Together with Jesus Lies Pathway We Tread."

 

Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Spencer of Medford, a son and daughter-in-law of the bride.

 

For her wedding, the bride was attired in a periwinkle blue sheath dress with matching hat.  She wore  a shoulder corsage of pink garnet roses and white feathered carnations.

 

Her matron of honor wore a taupe sheath dress accented with a corsage of full flowers.  A matching feathered hat completed her ensemble.

 

Corsages of white and yellow pompons were worn by the musicians and a corsage of pink roses and white carnations was worn by the Rev. Lillian Jensen.

 

Baskets of full flowers, candelabra and palms were used in the church.

 

After the ceremony, a reception was held and supper for about 130 guests was served in the Abbotsford High School  dining room.

 

Mr. and Mrs. Thompson left on a honeymoon trip to Elbow Lake, Minn. and after Nov. 4, will be at home in Menasha, where Mr. Thompson is employed as a shipper for Marathon Corp.  Mrs. Thompson was formerly a sales clerk at the Abbotsford Hardware Store.

 

Guests attending the wedding came from Elbow Lake, Minn., Rockford and Chicago, Ill., Cudahy, River Falls, Menasha, Medford, Athens, Milan, Dorchester, Curtiss, Owen, Colby and Abbotsford.
