Hewettville, Wisconsin (18 Dec 1913)

Gladys Dormady returned from Illinois last week to spend a couple weeks with her parents.

Joel Sayle visited at Will Dux’ Thursday evening.

Mrs. A. Hotelling’s birthday was on Dec. 11.  She was 81 years old and the following old neighbors helped her celebrate the event: Messrs. Dux, Albrecht, Collins and Ritchie and their families.  Also Mr. Lapp and wife of Neillsville.  They all had a good time and a fine dinner.

Mr. and Mrs. D. Dormady received a Christmas present Dec. 1, a baby girl.

A large crowd gathered at Mr. Albrecht’s Saturday evening.  Cards and music were indulged in and a fine supper was served.  Then they danced until almost daylight.  All report a good time.

Ed Shuman will leave for the woods Monday.  He will be missed by his friends.

Mr. Forbush and wife, Ed Shuman, Walter Pollnow, Mrs. Ritchie and children and Joel Sayle visited at Julia Wood’s Sunday.

Mrs. Amidon visited Mrs. M.M. Cook a few days last week.

Hazel Weisner and Lena Forbush visited at Julia Wood’s Friday evening.

Ray Cook will clear an acre of land for Will Ritchie.
